Aim for 60 characters or fewer.

Product Hunt allows 260 characters.

Launching Next allows 2,500 characters.

Fill in your product name and website to get your tracked links.

A launch plan that works

  1. Week 1: get your site ready. Make sure AI crawlers and search engines can read your pages. The free AI readiness checker shows what to fix.
  2. Week 1: submit to the directories. SaaSHub, AlternativeTo and G2 take the longest to approve, so start there. Use the same name, tagline and description everywhere.
  3. Weeks 2 to 6: one launch platform a week. Uneed, Fazier, StartupBase, Pitchwall, PeerPush, Peerlist. Be online on launch day to reply to every comment.
  4. When the product is polished: Product Hunt and Show HN. They reward a product people can try straight away, and makers who answer questions all day.
  5. Every month: check what AI says about you. Listings are sources AI assistants read. Run a free check to see whether ChatGPT names you yet.

Questions

Are SaaS directories still worth it in 2026?

Yes, for a different reason than before. AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Perplexity often cite directories, review sites and launch pages when they recommend products. Being listed on the sites they trust is one of the fastest ways to start appearing in AI answers. Each listing also brings a few early users and, on some sites, a backlink.

Should I pay to skip the queue?

Pay where the free wait is long and the site matters to your buyers: AlternativeTo and SaaSHub are worth it for most software. Launch platforms with a free queue (Uneed, Fazier, StartupBase, Pitchwall) are fine to use for free if you can wait.

In what order should I submit?

Directories first, because approval takes weeks: SaaSHub, AlternativeTo, G2. Then the launch platforms, one per week, so each launch gets your full attention on its day. Save Product Hunt and Show HN for when the product is polished and you can reply to comments all day.

How do I know which directories bring results?

Use a different tracked link for each one. The listing kit on this page adds utm tags for every directory, so your analytics shows which listings bring visitors and sign-ups. To see whether AI assistants have started naming you, run a free check.
